…if a knitter were on a cruise???Well, she’d start and finish a Koigu footie (started on the car ride to the cruise ship, and finished on the bus trip to the SeaTac Airport to go home… how’s that for cutting it close!) Yes, it’s just one sock so far.
Here it is with our cutie-pie waiter, Shon.
I’d also finish my Clapotis!! (also finished on the bus to SeaTac… to the cheers of my fellow SeaSocks buddies who had watched me work in it ALL week!)
And, I’d start a new sock on the plane ride home. See… I did learn something – this is my first toe up sock!
Thanks to Patricia – our fearless leader, and avid sock knitter, who kept 89 knitters happy and on track for five days. I will always remember these five days on the high seas with Kaity and my mom and our friend Jacquie, and 84 of my new friends, including Laura
and Abigail, also cruising with her mom!
We had the time of our lives!!
I love it! Clapotis turned out great- way to go with the sock! I all of a sudden like toe up socks… uh oh… 🙂 I wanna go next time!
Cute post! Your Clapotis is stunning and I love your sock footies too. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I’m so bummed I can’t go again next year, but I’m curious… did you and Kaity sign up?
Your Clapotis is amazing! And congrats on the first toe-up toe 🙂 Still looks like a trip of a lifetime!
that is a great pic of the two of you. Hope you have a great Momma’s day tomorrow!
Wow! Lynda, looks like you had a fabulous time on your cruise. What fun! I’m your new “Special Swap” Pal and I’m looking forward to getting to know you. I’ve enjoyed so much your posts about your cruise.
Yay for finishing your Clapotis! Is gorgeous. I like the Koigu footies too.
Looks like a blast – and glad you got some knitting done. I was looking at next year, but I think it’s the weekend I’m getting married. . . . and as much as I’d love to cruise with knitters . . . 🙂
Thank you so much for the fab photo!!!
I loved meeting you and your clan — having dinner with you was the bonus plan!!
I can not believe that you finished the clapotis — I just started mine, with yarn I bought in Victoria. Had to ignore a bunch of socks, because this yarn was screaming to be done. In two days, I’m halfway through the straight bits. I have a feeling I’m going to be adding repeats (as I may have over bought yarn — opps).
Anyway, would love to see you guys again, had an amazing time with you all.
Looks like great fun was had by all! That is one fantastic picture of you and Kaity, and one great looking Clapotis too
Hey! I’m on your blog! What a fun, funny sensation! I think I like that even better than getting comments! You, your daughter, your Mom and her childhood friend Jackie were such a joy! Let’s get together soon and reminisce and knit and talk. Please let me know when you are going to knit nite.
It looks like you had a fantastic time! Aren’t you glad you learned toe ups???
Looks like y’all had a blast! And your shawl is amazing!!!
Oops, I meant your Clap, not your shawl! Sorry, it’s late!
