You have to admit this is cute. When the hubby brought home his latest newest motorcycle on Friday, it came with matching roses for me. Do you think he may have a bit of guilt? – considering there are already four other motorcycles in the garage? He assures me that they are all quite different, and that each one has it’s own unique purpose…. and that he’s gonna sell two of them…
I just thought it was cute. It was already a done deal, and we had agreed on buying it, so it wasn’t a surprise. But the roses are a nice touch!
Besides, he’s a keeper… he never asks why I need another set of needles (after all, they are all quite different and each has their own unique purpose), and is always happy to take me to a yarn store when we’re out and even splurges for more yarn from time to time, just because. So, I don’t give him a hard time about his “hobbies” either. Let’s just say my hobby is quite inexpensive in comparison… hence the roses :o)
And, since this is a knitting blog, here’s my latest project, chillin’ on the new motorcycle. I’m making the Summer Shawlette (a free download from IK Knitting Daily) to send to my MIL. It’s coming along nicely, although the instructions are a little confusing, at least to me.
I better go get it off the motorcycle before the hubby gets home, though. It’s a little frou-frou, doncha think?
At least the object of his obsession doesn’t POOP!!
We are happy girls, what with having the greatest guys to spend out lives with. I won’t say we’re “lucky”, because, really…we deserve them, right?!
Something tells me the motorcycle isn’t really into shawls . . .
I’ll have to relay this to Kevin. He always tells me that the latest hunting paraphenalia he bought is the LAST thing he’ll ever need. Ha! I just need to train him to bring me an LYS gift certificate when he brings it home.
That’s going to be a cute shawl.
He’s going to sell two of them? Right. I”ve heard that before….we have three sailboats sitting in barn. All different, he says, but all sitting there!
The roses are beautiful … and so will be the yarn for your next project, without any complaint from hubby. You are blessed!
Your summer shawlette is looking real good already.
I love mohair, and would like to make a seagreen shawl, but due to severe allegic reactions, I can’t. So I use novelty yarns, they are a lot of fun too.
Enjoy!
Okay, I’ll admit I cruised down to see the pictures and my first thought? “Lynda surely isn’t knitting a lace cover for the motorcycle!?!” Yeah, I’m moving slowly today….
Pretty bike, beautiful roses and you can always argue that your yarn takes up less space if he ever decided to pooh-pooh YOUR hobby! Not that he sounds like he ever would though!!
Nice roses! I notice how they match his bike.
Nice wheels!!! Matches the flowers very well. My hubby has a bike too but unlike when I was much younger I don’t ride with him anymore! Just in case ….. we do need a parent to remain if Jesus calls one of us home! Is that awful or what? Hey, I’m looking for a shawlette pattern too and looked at that one and the one posted on my blog. No decsions yet. Your’s looks wonderful but won’t survive a ride I don’t think!!!
Great roses! I think that bike is worth at least several sweaters worth of yarn, guilt-free.
