Maybe. If you ask me, these are as close to a perfect knit as I’ve found.
Each clog took one day, and one skein of Cascade 220 to knit. I never knit ANYTHING in 1 day!
There’s also something magic, amazing, and just plain fun about taking a huge clown slipper, giving it 14 minutes in the washer, and… viola! – pulling out a perfect size 8-1/2 clog.
The pattern is fun, easy, and ingenious. Give it a go! Kaity’s already nabbed my extra Cascade to knit herself a pair, and my other daughter just requested a pair…. so I think I’ll be making more!

Cool!!! You can’t beat a fast knit that’s also so useful.
So cool! I love that shade of green too! Sounds like a perfect knit to me!
I have the pattern around here somewhere…
Yours look awesome!
I knit a pair several years ago and they are holding up so well. I love wearing them! Your green is so pretty. I bought some green close to that to make another pair, but haven’t gotten to them yet.
Wow- they look great, I may have to try them!!!
Cute
Very nice! I’ve been wanting to make a pair or two or five of those too!
I might have to make some of these clogs…I have lots of feltable wool that I don’t know what to do with and want to make wearable gifts for family and friends. What a good stashbuster too! Thanks for sharing.
I love to see the before and after of that clog. How fun!
What a funny before picture!
Your clogs look wonderful and warm!
Won’t your little California feet get hot?
I love them! Simply adorable. I bet they make you smile when you’re tooling around the house in them.
I’ve had my eye on those for a while. They look so comfy and the fun fur version sure would make at least a little dent in that stash too.
Those ARE perfect! I really do have to knit them. Now … where did I put the pattern?
I”ve made 3 pair as gifts for family. This was my first felted project. So easy and so forgiving. Mistakes in knitting disappear in the felting process. I am now finishing a pair for our 5y/o. My best friend gave me Bev Galeskas’ book “Felted Knits” for Christmas. It has more of her great patterns like this she has out through Fiber Trends.
[...] last but not least, here’s an update on the best knit ever… I have seriously worn these puppies EVERY day, nonstop, since the day I finished them, unless I have to leave the house (and [...]
I have a pair of these knit but haven’t felted them yet. What’s the secret to felting them to the correct size and getting them to dry in a shape that will vaguely resemble a clog? Yours look so fantastic, you must know the secret.
