1. Went on my morning walk.
2. Got bit by a dog*.
3. Went to Bible study.
4. Got a tetanus shot, and antibiotics.
5. Quick stop at the bank, store, etc, etc.
6. Taught two friends to knit.
7. Took Kaity shopping for “cruise wear.”
8. Stopped at Trader Joe’s for “candied ginger” (supposed to keep me from getting seasick next week).
9. Knit a little.
10. Had a stranger’s dog quarantined while they were obliviously at work.
Tomorrow I’ll just work – it’ll be more relaxing.
*Broke the skin, not too bad, no punctures, a little bruising. Let’s hope I don’t come down with rabies on the boat next week ;o)

Ouch! How scary! You’ll have to show of your injuries tomorrow. The guys might even be impressed with that one. BTW, the shawl looks really pretty.
Would that, could that possibly be? A Clapotis? Stunning! What yarn is that?
So sorry to hear about the dog bite. OUCHIE!
We are in a neighborhood of very large dogs—most nicely penned in their yards. Of course the mean vicious attack dog gets out regularly to terrorize us. My poor kids live in fear of that dog and don’t even like to go past the house in a car. So sorry you were bit. Be sure to report the bite to authorities. I don’t know about yours, but our SPCA keeps crappy records. All incidents with the above-mentioned dog are reported directly to our local police and Animal Control.
I am so coveting your knitting cruise. Sounds like pure bliss. I know you and Kaity will have a wonderful time.
Bad dog!
Amy
Ouch! Not a great way to start the day! Was the dog left out? That’s just not good
Oh no! Glad it wasn’t Cujo. You should be fine, but that’s scary!
Oh no! Awful. And I thought it was bad that I have two different neighbors who obliviously let their dogs bark all the time. At least they aren’t out biting people!
BTW – I get motion sickness easily and have had a great experience with the behind-the-ear patches. In fact I used just “half” and no problems, no side effects! But they are prescription, so it might not be an option since you’re leaving so soon.
Oh, ouch and yikes! I dislike walking in our neighborhood because of the many unleashed dogs. Even the goofy, friendly ones startle me when they bound up suddenly. Hope the shot didn’t hurt too badly and I cannot WAIT to hear about the knitting cruise. I’m counting on lots of details so I can cruise vicariously with you and Kaity.
I hope Kaity will take care of you if you start foaming at the mouth and messing up your knitting. How awful! Glad to hear you were able to have the dog quarantined, I hope he’s healthy.
Here’s to a quiet, work only day!
Owie! You had me laughing thinking of you with rabbies at the cruise–hehehe.
Owie, ouch! Bad dog.
I hope you’re alright! I don’t understand people who have dogs and don’t keep them contained! Where I live, there’s always a neighborhood dog running loose and pooping and peeing in our yard, yet we have 3 dogs and they are all contained well and have never pooped in anyone’s yard but our own.
I’ll be thinking of you, and hoping that you don’t get rabies on your cruise.
I hope you get well soon. Do you carry a stick or cane with you? Those walking poles make a lot of sense now that I’ve read your walking/dog bite incident. The clapotis is so pretty.
You’re the second blog I read today that got bit by a dog and had to get a tetnus shot…what’s up with that???? Hope all is okay!!
I hope you’re feeling ok. So…you’re coming to town very soon, have fun in the cruise and maybe i’ll get the pleasure to meet you in person.
bad grammar, * pleasure of meeting you
What a pain to have been bitten by a dog! One more thing to worry about while you’re preparing for your fabulous cruise… Your Clapotis looks terrific! I haven’t knit one yet, but I’d like to some day.
Oh no! How scary!!
Clapotis is looking good though!
What a bad dog! Hope it heals up quickly which no rabies. Although that would make a heck of a blog post. Just kidding. Have fun on the cruise. Keep your eyes on the horizon if things get bumpy. (Said the landlocked girl. It works on Lake Michigan.)
lucky you going on the cruise!! you’ll definately have to take pictures and post about how it goes. and ditto what everyone else said about being bitten – bad dog!!
oh ouch!
(
We’re all so excited about your cruise. Did you check to see if they offer Wi-Fi on the ship? If so, you could take Kaity’s laptop and POST WHILE CRUISING!!!
I will pray that you don’t get Rabbies.
Right now.
You are looking very thin!
Good for you!
Oh no. Bad thing to happen! Did he just run up and bite you? I hope this means you’ll still trust good ol’ Chuck.
Your clapotis is looking fab!
Three random thoughts:
Ouch! That’s awful!
Your Clapotis is gorgeous.
I heart Trader Joe’s Candied Ginger SO much. Yum.
Boo for biting dogs. Ummm, I mean, dogs that bite – not YOU biting a dog. Although maybe it would teach him a lesson. LOL
The Clapotis looks great!!!!
That is some day. Yes, you should stay safely at work today. And every day until you leave for the cruise. Evidentally it’s not safe for you to leave the house. Just stay inside and admire your amazing paint job.
Sorry to hear about the dog bite. Ouch!! Love the Clapotis, isn’t it fun???!!
Ouch! Bad doggie! You should have been carrying your knitting needles for self-defense.
Have fun on your cruise!
oh no! bad dog. do hope your ok
